You can skip the part where you have to continue to re-explain your itinerary or preferences – AI Mode intelligently factors them in right from the start. I’ve been a power user of Personal Intelligence with Gmail and Google Photos enabled, and it’s helped me pinpoint new things that I wouldn’t have considered or discovered before – like recommendations for family activities on an upcoming trip. It also helped me find an awesome pair of new shoes! The ability to connect AI Mode to your Gmail and Google Photos is rolling out as a Labs feature for Google AI Pro & Ultra subscribers in the U.S. (Eligible subs will automatically have access to the feature as it becomes available).     For Aidan, a Regional Product Lead on the Customer Solutions team, his journey to Google’s Ann Arbor office was deeply personal. Much of how he approaches his work is shaped by his mother’s influence. “Her example taught me that professional success isn't just about the resources you have, but how effectively you use them to support others.” He approached his path to Google with focus and determination. “I treated my Google internship as a full-time mission, spending every day studying and networking to earn my spot. People come to YouTube for this unmatched breadth of content and we’re seeing huge growth across all formats and screens. 💛 Building the best place for kids and teens Kids and teens around the world rely on YouTube every day to learn and connect. Our goal is to ensure YouTube remains a place for exploration while empowering parents to guide the journey. As one example, this year, we’ll introduce the ability for parents to control how much time their kids and teens spend scrolling Shorts. 💰 Powering the creator economy YouTube remains the original and largest creator economy. Creators call YouTube their home because we offer the most reliable and stable path to earn. In the past four years we’ve paid over $100 billion to creators, artists, and media companies. We’ll continue to invest in different ways for creators to earn. With over 500,000 creators already in YouTube Shopping, we’re focused on making the shopping experience seamless. We’re also focused on brand deals and making it easier for Influencer Marketing Agencies and brands to find and hire creators, and execute successful campaigns through our creator partnerships hub. ✨ Supercharging and safeguarding creativity For years, AI has been the quiet engine behind our most important innovations and we’ll build on this momentum in 2026. In December, more than 1M channels used our AI creation tools daily, and this year we’ll expand these capabilities. AI is also transforming the viewing experience: in December, more than 20M users relied on our Ask tool to learn more about the content they watched. As these capabilities grow, so does our commitment to ensuring this technology is used transparently and responsibly. We clearly label content created by YouTube’s AI products, and creators must disclose when they've created realistic altered or synthetic content. We’re also building on the foundation of Content ID, a system our partners have trusted for well over a decade, to equip creators with new tools to manage the use of their likeness in AI-generated content. To reduce the spread of low quality AI content, we’re actively building on our established systems that have been very successful in combatting spam and clickbait, and reducing the spread of low quality, repetitive content.     The letter of the day is Y for YouTube: Today, YouTube announced it’s now the largest digital library of "Sesame Street" content. More than 100 full "Sesame Street" episodes from previous seasons are now available on YouTube and the YouTube Kids app for the first time. In addition to full-length episodes (including the first episode from 1969!), viewers will find an expanded library featuring unique Shorts starring all of your favorite Sesame Street Muppets, 1-2 hour long-form compilations thematically curated by topics, and more. On our platform, these classic episodes will live right alongside the next generation of kids' content from creators like the Emmy-nominated Rachel Accurso.     YouTube is where teens come to watch what they love. That’s why we’ve spent a decade building tailored products for our youngest viewers: from the launch of the YouTube Kids app in 2015, to a supervised experience for pre-teens in 2021, to the expansion of built-in protections to more U.S. teens last summer. When I talk to parents and experts about what they want from platforms like YouTube, they tend to focus on three areas: controls that teach kids how to consume responsibly, content that’s age-appropriate, and the right experience for every age. Today we’re sharing a few updates to help parents tailor their family’s YouTube experience, especially for teens. They’ll soon be able to: - Set the amount of time their teens spend scrolling Shorts (including to zero, which is an industry-first) - Set custom Take a Break and Bedtime reminders for supervised accounts  - More seamlessly create new kid accounts and switch between them in the mobile app We’ve also developed new principles and a creator guide to ensure our platform elevates fun, helpful and enriching content in partnership with the Center for Scholars & Storytellers at UCLA, the Digital Wellness Lab at Boston Children's Hospital, the American Psychological Association and other global organizations.
